Southport FC is keen to increase membership of The Southport Former Players Association, and is inviting people to get in touch.
The organisation now comes under the club umbrella following a recent announcement.
The Sandgrounders are also planning to induct some new names into the Southport Football Club Hall Of Fame in 2023-24.
A Southport FC spokesman said: “We would like to emphasise that the FPA is open to anyone who has played for the club and we are looking to increase the membership numbers over the coming months.
”As well as players, Associate Membership is also open to others who have made a significant impact at the club.
“We will also be looking to invite a couple of former players to every home game in the 2023-24 season and have them available in the Fan Zone from 2.15pm to 2.45pm on a Saturday and if possible 7pm to 7.30pm for a midweek match to meet and talk to fans before taking a place in the corporate seating area (when available) and enjoying half time refreshments. We will publish who is in attendance ahead of each game.

“The full list of current members is HERE and it is important that we keep the contact details as up to date as possible so we will be carrying out a contact check on some but if you are reading this and are already a member do get in touch to confirm we have the current contact details on file either email Rob Urwin: rob@southportfc.net or call 077900-41514.
“If you are not a member but played for the club we want to hear from you as well.
“We will also be inducting some new names into our Southport Football Club Hall Of Fame in 2023-24 and this will be done on the pitch at half time to give our supporters a chance to acknowledge the achievement.”
