A Southport estate agent is getting ready to run this year’s TCS London Marathon, as she aims to raise as much money as she can for Southport Samaritans.
Emma Bailey, the Lettings Director of Bailey Estates, is in training to complete the 26.2 mile event on 21st April 2024.
Bailey Estates is a residential sales and lettings agency which covers Southport and the surrounding areas, and has an office at 51 Liverpool Road in Birkdale Village in Southport.
A Bailey Estates spokesperson said: “Our super Lettings Director Emma Bailey has secured her place in this year’s TCS London Marathon
“Bearing in mind that up until November 2023 Emma had never run anything more than a bath!
“She is now a true inspiration to her friends, colleagues and family for the commitment she is showing in preparation for April 2024.
“Emma is not only a super businesswoman, but also the Director of our local Southport Samaritans charity, which offered her the opportunity to run this year’s 26.2 miles in London.
“She has covered the cost of her training, travel and accommodation, however she is now seeking donations for our local Southport Samaritans Group through her place in the marathon to thank them, and to help them with their ongoing charitable services..

The London Marathon first took place in 1981 and has become one of the most popular marathons in the world. The route takes in many of London’s best landmarks including Buckingham Palace, The Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.
The 2024 London Marathon, the 44th time the race has been held, is scheduled to take place on 21 April 2024.
