Southport Colour Run Festival sponsored by Broadley Developments

The Southport Colour Run Festival is coming to town this summer, with people invited to sign up for this year’s most colourful event!

The Festival, sponsored by Broadley Developments, will take place at Southport Rugby Club on Waterloo Road in Southport on Saturday 15th June 2024.

Gates will open from midday with the Colour Run starting at 2pm.

Every penny raised will go to the MNDA Motor Neurone Disease Association.

You can sign up via the Crowdfunder website here

Taking inspiration from the ancient Hindu festival of Holi, a colour run is a fun run with a difference.

Colour powder is thrown at passing runners from colour stations that are dotted along the course at Southport Rugby Club.

Focusing more on creating memories than the time you get around the track, this makes a colour run a perfect family event, with amazing picture and video opportunities.

Tickets are £20 each for those aged 12 and over, with £50 family tickets (two adults, two children under 12). All tickets include a white t-shirt.

There will be a bar, kitchen, BBQ and more available on the day.

People can also take part in axe throwing to raise funds for the club’s Under 16 Canada tour.

Southport Rugby Club Bar and Events Manager Sue Astwood said: “This is the latest in our long line of charity fundraising events at Southport Rugby Club!

“I hope we can encourage everyone from far and wide to come and join us at this fun event, with lots of families.

“This is another first to be held at Southport Rugby Club.

“We will have lots going on with music, a BBQ outside, the bar and kitchen will also be open.

“We hope to make the Southport Colour Run Festival an annual event.”
