An independent coffee shop with stunning views across Lord Street in Southport town centre is delighted to have reopened.
92 Degrees Coffee opened in the former Monsoon premises at 365 Lord Street in November 2019.
It is part of a fast growing local independent company that has been roasting since September 2014.
The Southport store offers beautiful store to ceiling windows looking out across Monument Square, allowing sunlight to come flooding into the building.
92 Degrees Coffee, like other local businesses, has endured a challenging year since the Covid-19 pandemic struck in March 2020. But there are now signs of better signs ahead.
The venue was delighted to reopen for takeout coffee and cakes from 24 March, and since Monday (12 April) has been enjoying opening for outdoor drinking and dining, including some snacks.
They are hoping that 17 May (Step 3 of the government’s planned lockdown restrictions easing) will see them reopen fully.
Ellie Woods, Store Leader at 92 Degrees Coffee on Lord Street in Southport town centre, said: “We are looking forward to opening for normal indoor dining as soon as it’s announced!
“We have been roasting since September 2014, and we then first opened the doors to Liverpool’s original roastery coffee shop on 9 January 2015. We opened our Southport shop in November 2019 and have been keeping Southport’s locals caffeinated ever since.

“In the last six years we have roasted so many beans we have lost count, literally hundreds of millions.
“This has allowed us to keep thousands of our loyal regulars happily caffeinated with truly awesome coffee.
“Our coffee doesn’t just taste awesome, through our partnership with Project Waterfall, 10% of our bagged coffee sales support clean water in coffee growing communities around the world.
“In parallel to this we learn all we can about our growers, choosing established community farming projects and cooperatives to ensure our coffee purchasing power is doing good at origin.
“We passionately care about the story of our coffee, from the cherry growing at the start to your flat white and latte art.
“We provide awesome coffee, all the time, in every cup.
“We have our own app which you can download on your phone, you can order ahead on this for a speedy pick up and there’s always offers on there too!”
Among the big talking points at the Lord Street premises are the huge floor to ceiling windows which look out across Lord Street and Monument Square.
It’s the perfect place for catching up with friends, taking a break from shopping, remote working or simply relaxing and watching the world go by.

Ellie Woods said: “Our huge windows are one of the best things about our shop!
“Light floods in and fills the room with sunshine and also allows us to look outside at the beautiful architecture of Lord Street. Our window seats are definitely the most popular for this reason.
“There’s just something about being still and enjoying a coffee while watching the world go by outside.
“We are delighted to be back open again!
“We have spent a lot of time while being closed working on the shop and altering a few things to make the shop work better for us and also the customers. So we can’t wait for people to come and enjoy our new space with us.
“We have missed making and serving you coffees and the great conversations.
“I just want to say a massive thank you to those supporting Southport’s independents.
“With so much choice we are so thankful that you choose to get your coffee from 92 Degrees and we cannot wait to welcome you back for awesome coffee!”
