A Southport cafe and bar is inviting people to its Grand Reopening Party this weekend.

Hoghton Coffee Lounge & Bar, on Hoghton Street in Southport town centre, is hosting the event from 9am this Saturday (September 12).

The venue has been closed since the coronavirus lockdown came into force in March.

They said: “This is the moment you have all been waiting for!

“We will be opening our doors from 9am and running all the way through till late, with the Grand Reopening Party officially commencing from 6pm, with plenty of special offers on drinks – but we hope you can join us at some point throughout the day.

“All our usual hot drinks will be available as well as a temporary food menu, together with loads of new additions including a brand new prestigious selection of wines and prosecco especially selected and supplied for your delight, from local supplier Hidden Vines UK.

“We have carefully taken into consideration social distancing requirements, to ensure that our customers and staff are safe at all times whilst ensuring your enjoyment.

“We now have extra social-distanced seating available inside and a heated outside area.

“We hope you will be as excited as we are with the atmosphere we have created!

“We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us, liked and recommended us throughout the lockdown.

“Please be assured that this excellent standard of customer service will continue into our shop environment.

“We look forward to welcoming you back this Saturday and enjoying your ongoing company thereafter!”

Due to the reopening of the shop and the continued demand for delivery of afternoon teas, picnic boxes and WINEDown boxes, this service will now be limited to a delivery-only basis on Saturdays and Sundays. However, afternoon tea can be enjoyed by pre-booking 24 hours in advance to enjoy in the shop, with new additions to the menu.
