Southport Charity Christmas Parade is back in Southport this Sunday! (3rd December 2023).

The biggest vehicle light parade in the North West will take place between around 5pm and 6.30pm.

There will be celebrity appearances by Father Christmas, Mary Christmas and their elves!

The event is organised by local people, giving back to local people.

This year’s parade will start from Southport Eco Centre on the Esplanade.

It will then head down:

  • Southport Promenade
  • Leicester Street
  • Lord Street
  • Lulworth Road
  • Liverpool Road
  • Finishing on Kenilworth Road

It will be a busy day in Southport on Sunday, with the Queenscourt Santa Sprint and Birkdale Christmas Lights Switch On also taking place.

A Southport Charity Christmas Parade spokesperson said: “Please be advised we are unable to allow the public to view the stationary vehicles this year but we will make up for it.

“We have Lights, wheels, sounds, Santa, naughty elves, candy canes and lots of festive spirit.

“All for the families of Southport so if anyone would like to donate a gift to help then we will be collecting at an event in Formby on the 2nd December, the Salvation Army in Shakespeare Street, or you can drop gifts into our shopping trolleys during the parade.

“Thank you all for your support and YES MERRY CHRISTMAS!”
