Home baker Jemma, from Southport, earned national acclaim when she created the Queen’s Jubilee pudding through winning the BBC One programme, The Jubilee Pudding: 70 Years in the Baking.
People can now discover Jemma’s secrets as she stars at Southport Flower Show this August.
This week she has created a beautiful sponge cake, with strawberries and cream, to celebrate England winning Euro Euro 2022 after they beat Germany 2-1 after extra time.
Jemma said: “It’s home!
“I’ve made this cake a few times before… but we always lose, so I didn’t make it on Sunday night in case it was a jinx. I made it on Monday, in celebration instead
“But I mean… let the women do the work!
“Sunday night was a triumph for the Lionesses, this country and every single woman / girl who watched. What a moment.
“Record breakers. History makers. I’m just in awe of the Lionesses.
“As Gabby Logan said on Sunday night, they think it’s all over, but this is just the start.
“They brought football home, but we need to make it stay! So let’s support women’s football in any way we can!”

Jemma won national acclaim when she won The Jubilee Pudding.
Her Lemon Swiss Roll and Amaretti Trifle recipe beat more than 5,000 desserts to win Fortnum & Mason’s Platinum Pudding competition which was followed by the BBC One programme, The Jubilee Pudding: 70 Years in the Baking.
Now Jemma will share some of her baking tips with thousands of visitors as she appears in the cookery theatre at Southport Flower Show, sponsored by Home Bargains.
Jemma, who works as a copywriter in Southport, was persuaded by a friend to enter Fortnum’s Platinum Pudding competition earlier this year.
Her citrus trifle used techniques she learned from her grandmother and was inspired by the lemon posset served at The Queen’s wedding to Prince Philip.
It was chosen as the unanimous winner by judges led by Dame Mary Berry and is now part of British royal food history along with Coronation Chicken and the Victoria Sponge.
Since winning the competition, Jemma has appeared on numerous television programmes including ITV’s This Morning and Good Morning Britain; BBC’s The One Show and also Good Morning America.

Jemma said: “The dish was actually a tribute to my Nan – who loved trifles – and my Grandma, who taught me to bake.
“My whole family loves the Southport Flower Show so it is surreal to be invited to come back to do some baking in the show kitchens.
“It’s been an unbelievable few weeks for me since winning the competition and appearing at Southport Flower Show will be the cherry on the cake.”

Also appearing at Southport at Hairy Biker Si King, Ready Steady Cook chef Ellis Barrie and Dave Critchley, who has featured on The Great British Menu.
Jemma will put on two demonstrations in the Southport Cookery Theatre on Thursday 18 August at 1pm and 3pm.
