Over the bank holiday weekend, 26th to 29th August 2022, the Southport & Birkdale Sports Club will host its 2nd Annual SNBeer Festival, billed as ‘the perfect way for families to end this year’s school holidays in style’.
There will in total be more than 50 barrels of beer supplied the best-known breweries both from the region and across the nation. The real ale bar will offer 15 different ales and ciders, a separate bar on the terrace will be selling specialist gin, prosecco and rum, while the main bar will be open for wine, soft drinks and snacks.
Quality food will be provided by a local catering company, D’Vine Catering, with a menu that will change each day.
The Festival will open at 5pm on Friday 26th August. There is no entry charge but for £5 you will receive an engraved pint glass for real ale or a flute for prosecco, an event programme and your first drink free.
Each evening of the festival there will be live entertainment with music provided by artists and bands. The outdoor nets area will turned into a Kids Zone with a bouncy castle, competitions, small games and entertainers.
Four days of top class cricket will be provided, including a Women’s Hardball Tournament on Sunday 28th August:
- Friday 26th: Hundred Invitational Cricket Match when S&B will take on a League Eleven with the game starting at 5.30pm.
- Saturday 27th the S&B first XI will take on Orrell in a top-class crucial Liverpool Competition match starting at 11.00am
- Sunday 28th: the successful S&B Women’s team will host a hardball tournament against sides from all over the county.
