The world’s biggest mural of Captain Sir Tom Moore has enjoyed huge attention since it was unveiled last weekend.
The huge 24ft high artwork, named ‘Hope’, now takes pride of place outside the Anthony James Estate Agents office on Hoghton Street in Southport town centre.
It was commissioned by Anthony James Estate Agents owner Mark Cunningham and was painted by local artist Rob Newbiggin. It recognises the achievements of a 100-year-old hero who inspired Britain by raising over £30million for the NHS as he took daily laps of his garden.
ANOTHER huge mural will appear outside Anthony James Estate Agents this weekend, again painted by Robert Newbiggin.
Here is a sneak preview of just what one part of it will look like.
The new work of art will be a tribute to the NHS, and all those who helped to save so many lives during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The murals have taken months to create on separate boards at Rob’s home.
In six months’ time they will be auctioned off to raise money for the NHS.
Mark wanted to commission the artworks to create a very visible way of saying thank you to Captain Sir Tom Moore and to our amazing NHS and healthcare staff.
Mark said: “These murals are huge. They have been a logistical nightmare to put this all together!
“We wanted to do something that shows our appreciation for the NHS and for Captain Sir Tom Moore, who have inspired the whole nation with what they have done this year.”
You’ll have to wait and see what the new mural looks like!
All will be revealed very soon…
