Sefton’s next free, twice-yearly Economic Forum event will take place on Thursday, 12th June at Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa.
Organised by the Council’s InvestSefton business support service, Economic Forums are open to all Sefton businesses no matter what their size or sector. They are relaxed and informal events that provide local companies with opportunities to network.
June’s Forum will see economist Christian Spence providing his regular, insightful economic update.
Matchstick Creative’s Ruth Wildhart will be giving a presentation on how SMEs can benefit from ‘Good Growth’ principles.
Joe Keegan from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority will be talking about opportunities for businesses to upskill.
Alan Adams, General Manager of Southport Flower Show, will be providing an update on this year’s event and opportunities for businesses.
The event will be chaired by Chris Lewis from Merseyside Expanding Horizons.
June’s event starts with Breakfast & Networking from 8am followed by the Economic Forum, which runs from 9am to 11am.
Afterwards, delegates can explore the Business Marketplace, which regularly includes over 30, funded, business support providers.
Businesses wanting to book their free places should call 0151 934 3452 or email investsefton@sefton.gov.uk.
Cllr Paulette Lappin, Sefton Council’s new Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Skills, said:
“Once again InvestSefton’s free Economic Forum will provide the Borough’s businesses with an excellent opportunity to get the latest economic insights and find out about opportunities for growth and development that are on offer.
“After all of our InvestSefton events get great feedback about how useful and informative, so I’d encourage Sefton businesses to book their free place now.
