Christmas bin collections for 2020 have been revealed by Sefton Council.
The local authority’s refuse workers, who have worked impeccably through the Covid-19 pandemic, will be taking some very well earned days off on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
However, they will be doing their rounds on Christmas Eve, and on New Year’s Eve.
Collections will also be made on Saturday, January 2, to ensure that families will be able to dispose of their post Christmas waste.
The green wheelie bin service is now in hibernation and will resume on 28 February.
Green Wheelie Bin Collection
The green wheelie bin service will be suspended from 01 December 2020 until 28 February 2021
Grey/Brown Wheelie Bin & Sack/Comingled Sack Collections
Please note that your normal alternating grey/brown wheelie bin collection pattern will continue over the Christmas period.

Your collection will be as normal on Monday 21 December 2020
Your collection will be as normal on Tuesday 22 December 2020
Your collection will be as normal on Wednesday 23 December 2020
Your collection will be as normal on Thursday 24 December 2020

Clinical Waste Collections
The weekly clinical waste collection service scheduled for Friday 25 December 2020 will be collected on Thursday 24 December 2020
The clinical waste collection service will be suspended from 25 December 2020 to 1 January 2021.
