A series of sensational aerial pictures of Southport have been published in a new calendar.
The 2023 Calendar by Seen From A Drone is now on sale, just in time for Christmas, featuring iconic local scenes.
The calendars are on sale at Mind Games on Hill Street in Southport, Esperantos Bistro in Ainsdale and online through seenfromadrone.
The pictures were taken by talented local photographer Ben Arreaza-Seed, who will be selling and signing his calendars at the Santa Sprint for Queenscourt Hospice which starts and ends at Silcock’s Funland on Sunday 11th December 2022. The race starts at 11am.
They are also available as prizes to be won at Silcock’s Funland on the Promenade in Southport, where people can play to win Christmas prizes through the Ticket Game Zone.
Ben said: “My new 2023 drone calendar is perfect for anyone wanting to see Southport in all its beautiful glory from unique heights or a great Christmas gift, printed on high quality A4 card.
“I will be bringing a few calendars down with me to Silcock’s Funland on the day of the Southport Santa Sprint, they are £10 each.
“Pictures include; Victoria Park, Promenade, Funland at night, Luminate at Victoria Park, a shipwreck off Southport Beach, Southport Pier, Royal Birkdale Golf Club, Lord Street at Christmas, Preston New Road blossom trees and a few more sunset shots!”
People can have fun while winning the calendars for their Christmas presents at Silcock’s Funland in Southport.
The family attraction on the Promenade is open every day this winter, with the exception of Christmas Day. Visitors can also enjoy a ride on Silcock’s Carousel outside, which is open every weekend over the next few weeks.
Silcock’s Operations Manager Serena Silcock-Prince said: “Ben is a superb photographer! I love his new calendar.
“We are delighted to welcome him at Funland when this year’s Santa Sprint takes place.
“He has always been very supportive of the Santa Dash, coming along and taking some superb drone footage of the event in order to help promote it.
“He captures Southport for all seasons really well. His sunset pictures are fantastic, and I love the shot that he took of Funland.”
Silcock’s, a local family-owned business which is a huge supporter of Queenscourt, is once again sponsoring the Santa Sprint.
The firm is donating £1,000 to the hospice through the event, which sees hundreds of runners start the race directly outside Silcock’s Funland, Carousel and Pier Family Restaurant.
Silcock’s will be offering free tea or coffee to anyone taking part, as well as allowing them to enjoy bacon barms for just £1 each – as well as a free ride on the famous Silcock’s Carousel.
