People keen to build their businesses and make new contacts in 2026 are invited to call into the Sandgrounders Business Club this January.
The next networking event takes place at Southport Football Club, Haig Avenue, Southport, PR8 6JZ this Thursday (8th January 2026).
The event is free to attend with no need to pre-register; guests are welcome to stay as long or as little as they like.
Doors open at 5pm for open networking, before speakers begin from 6pm.
There is free roadside parking available outside, with bar facilities available inside the club.
This month’s sponsor speaker is Scott Evans, the Director of Evans Commercial Finance.

Stand Up For Southport Director Andrew Brown will give an update on the 2026 Grand Pride Of Sefton Awards which are taking place this April and about some of the superb events happening in Southport across a very busy year for the town.

This free monthly gathering encourages individuals to meet, network, pitch and develop business.
Alongside networking and sharing great ideas with like-minded individuals, Sandgrounders Business Club provides you with an opportunity to connect your business to an ever-growing local and national audience reached by Southport FC through matchday advertising, branding on the official club website and entertaining clients with matchday VIP hospitality.
People are then free to stay for more networking and to chat with other business owners present.
It is a relaxed, friendly, informal event to help support local businesses in Southport and the surrounding area.
The gathering is open to businesses in the Southport area and beyond.
Visitors are welcome to drop in and stay and network, or chat with other local business people, for as long or as little as they like.
Unlike other networking groups, there are no contracts involved, no fees and no restrictions on numbers of people in each profession.
Each month sees two guest speakers invited to give short talks to guests – one a sponsored speaker, the other a community / local interest speaker.
The sponsored speaker spot costs £75.
