Business people keen to connect in a relaxed and productive environment are invited to join the next meeting of Sandgrounders Business Club.

This free, monthly networking event will take place on Thursday 11th September 2025 at Southport Football Club on Haig Avenue, Southport, PR8 6JZ.

There is free roadside parking with the doors opening at 5pm.

There are two speakers on from 6pm, followed by more open networking:

Kieran Malone – The new owner of Southport FC. Kieran will be telling guests all about his exciting plans for the club and he would like to involve the local business community.

Elliott Horan – The new Commercial Manager at Southport FC.

Event co-organiser Chris Harding said: “A big thank you to our excellent August speakers: Gaba Clothing and Dave Ward from Southport Hesketh Round Table.

“I would like to thank our four main sponsors Southport FC, Stand Up for Southport, Midgley Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning and Birkdale Insurance Group for their continued support.

“There is no requirement to pre-book a place, just turn up on the night.”

Sandgrounders Business Club encourages individuals to meet, network, pitch and develop business.

Alongside networking and sharing great ideas with like-minded individuals, Sandgrounders Business Club provides you with an opportunity to connect your business to an ever-growing local and national audience reached by Southport FC through matchday advertising, branding on the official club website and entertaining clients with matchday VIP hospitality.

People are then free to stay for more networking and to chat with other business owners present.

All are welcome.

It is a relaxed, friendly, informal event to help support local businesses in Southport and the surrounding area.

The gathering is open to businesses in the Southport area and beyond.

Visitors are welcome to drop in and stay and network, or chat with other local business people, for as long or as little as they like.

Unlike other networking groups, there are no contracts involved, no fees and no restrictions on numbers of people in each profession.

Each month sees two guest speakers invited to give short talks to guests – one a sponsored speaker, the other a community / local interest speaker.

The sponsored speaker spot costs £75.
