An iconic night out celebrating the very best of the 80s and 90s is returning to Southport after a three-year absence!
The Rubix Ontour is a travelling 80s and 90s party which has played to a number of sell-out audiences at The Fleetwood Hesketh sports and social club, on Fylde Road in Marshside, over the years.
Sadly the popular party nights have been put on hold since December 2019, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The events are staged by renowned local DJs Steve Mitchell and Danny Bee, who say they are “excited” to bring the event back to the Fleetwood Hesketh on Saturday, 19th March 2022. Tickets are already on sale.
It’s a chance for people to relive the golden days of great nights out at famous Southport venues such as The Kingsway, Palm Court, Manhattans, New York and others of pop music’s greatest era.
Steve and Danny said: “It’s a trip down memory lane where we convert the venue into a nightclub with a top spec sound system and lighting.
“We play 80s and 90s dancefloor fillers so bring a good pair of dancing shoes – we guarantee your feet will be sore the following day!
“We’ve been doing these events for seven years and every one has sold out.
“They’re safe and great fun.
“Tickets are £10, plus a small admin fee. The bar is reasonably priced at The Fleetwood Hesketh, so it’s an affordable night out.”
The duo can’t wait to bring The Rubix Ontour back to Southport after such a long absence.
They said: “The last one we did was Christmas 2019. It was so popular we staged two nights back to back and sold out both!
“Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and a gap of over two years, we are so excited to bring this back to Southport with energy oozing to make it the best yet!
