Police swooped to break up raves being held at beaches along the Sefton coastline last night.
Officers from Southport also seized a haul of alcohol from beach goers.
And they worked with Southport Coastguard and Crosby Coastguard to order 100 vehicles to leave Ainsdale Beach, as they continued to warn people to stay away.
A spokesman said: “Due to reports of disorder and arranged rave type meets in Formby / Crosby we have been Policing the beach.
“Groups of youths have been dispersed, fires put out, alcohol seized and arrests for possession of drugs and drink drive.”

Alcohol was seized yesterday by Southport Community Team officers on Victoria Road, Formby.
A police spokesman said: “Bottles and cans were handed to police by visitors making their way to the beach.
“Alcohol is banned on the beach which is part of the national Trust nature reserve.”
As they continue to patrol beaches in Southport, Ainsdale, Formby and Crosby, police urged people to continue to stay home where possible.
Sefton Superintendent Graeme Robson said: “We understand how frustrated people have been at not being able to leave home for a number of weeks.

“However our current advice remains that people should remain at home wherever possible and if they choose to leave home they should continue to socially distance and only meet up with the permitted number of people.
“We would also continue to ask people to be respectful if they are visiting local beauty spots.
“Please don’t leave your litter behind or use campfires or barbecues. And if you must use your car please have consideration for local residents and other road users.”
A member of your local policing team will be live on Sefton Police Facebook this Monday (June 1) from 5pm until 9pm to speak to local residents about what is happening in our area. Please join in and take part.
