Which do you prefer – chocolate or pizza?
Now you can have BOTH thanks to some delicious creations designed by Chocolate Whirled.
This family-run independent business on Manchester Road in Southport is looking forward to showing them off when they reopen this Thursday (June 18) after three months in lockdown.
They hope to be busy ahead of Father’s Day.
Owners Laura and Simon Stevens said: “Are you a sharer or do you like to have your own pizza to yourself? We have all sizes available from individual slices, small 4″, large 8″ and giant (sharing?!) pizzas.
“All our pizzas are really deep, Belgian choc bases, covered in white chocolate ‘sauce’, covered with a thick layer of white Belgian choc curls and then topped with various toppings.
“They have been an ever popular staple since starting, even at home. We have just added different sizes and topping ranges to them over the years so we now have individual pizza slices, small 4″ pizzas, large 8″ ones and giant ones which are 12″ and really thick bases.

“We do seasonal Easter and Christmas themed ones which always sell out.
“The feedback we get is that people like them for those they don’t know what to buy for eg teens and also they are really good sharing presents for families and couples, which is what people seem to get the bigger ones for at Easter and Christmas.
“Pizza slices are £2.20, small ones are £5, large ones are £13.50 and giant ones are £20.”
Laura and Simon are l;ooking forward to welcoming back customers after being closed since the Coronavirus lockdown came into force in March. They have made plenty of changes to ensure they are ready, keeping both staff and customers safe.
They said: “We are nearly ready to reopen this Thursday. We are feeling very anxious, but excited to see old and new faces and have a bit of a socially distanced atmosphere and bustle around the place again!

“We have tried to put everything in place so that all our customers are as safe as possible and feel comfortable when visiting us.
“Only two different individuals or households will be allowed in at any one time. Any other customers are asked to wait behind the distancing markers outside the shop until asked to come in. We would ask every customer to keep their distance from all other customers and staff. Stickers and notices will be in place as reminders. Please keep all children very close to their parents.
“If you, or anyone in your household, are displaying any Covid symptoms, please stay at home.
“We have various sanitizing stations around the shop, and would ask that everyone sanitizes their hands on entry and exit as a minimum.”
Chocolate Whirled on Manchester Road in Southport will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 11am and 3.30pm.
