A new gym and physical fitness centre in Southport is celebrating its first birthday with a special 80s themed event, with money raised going to the Isla Rose Foundation.

Pheonyx, at 25a Cemetery Road, is holding its special event on Saturday, 11th September, from 3pm until late.

Guests can enjoy a Sweat / Stretch event with ‘80s festival vibes, with everyone there encouraged to turn up in 80s gym wear!

The £30 tickets include 80s themed circuit classes, Pilates classes, a goody bag, a glass of fizz, delicious food, and more. A Southport-based gin distillery, Liverpool Liquors, will be doing a gin tasting there also.

A Pheonyx spokesperson said: “We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

“Our first year birthday party and charity event will be for the Isla Rose Foundation.

“There is so much to look forward to – circuits with Claire and Nat, and a fab stretch and core and a Pilates class with the lovely Sophie from PIlates Works. We have Vacient Cosmetics with a pop-up stand to demonstrate their ace gym wear, make-up and skincare.

“Food will be included in your ticket price from the delish The Brass Pig and you’ll also get a free goody bag, as well as a large glass of fizz to kick the party off! .

“This is sure to be a fab day. We start from 3pm dressed in our 80s gym wear.

“Everyone is welcome and we’d love to share this first birthday with all!”

Money raised will go towards the Isla Rose Foundation to support a two-year-old Southport girl who suffers from non-ketotic hyperglycinemia (NKH), a rare, genetic, metabolic disorder.

There are approximately 500 children with NKH worldwide.

There is no curative treatment for NKH at this time. But the Isla Rose Foundation is determined to change that with your help.
