Local businesses will be able to enjoy a walk around Southport Football Club as the monthly Sandgrounders Business Club takes place this week.
The monthly business networking event will be held at Southport FC this Thursday (10th July 2025).
It is free to attend, with free parking outside and a bar inside. There is no register, just turn up and stay for as long or as little as you like.
Doors open at 5pm with the speakers on from 6pm.
This month they are:
Richard Owens – Chief Executive Officer at Compassion Acts
Darren Court – Southport FC Commercial Manager with an update on the club
Darren will lead people on a sunny walk around the ground with 23C temperatures and sunny weather forecast – to take a look at the investment and the changes taking place, since the club was bought recently by new owners Kieran Malone and David Cunningham.
Earlier this week, the club announced an exciting new partnership with nearby KGV Sixth Form College, with the Sandgrounders investing in creating new football pitches at the college which will be used by students, by the local community and as the new training facility for Southport FC.
People are then welcome to stay on for more open networking afterwards.
There is a pay bar available within the function room.

“There is no requirement to pre-book a place for Sandgrounders Business Club – just turn up on the night.”
Sandgrounders Business Club is a free networking event, held every second Thursday of each month to provide a platform for local businesses to come together.
