A thriving Southport construction firm has been honoured as finalists in two categories in a major North West award.
The Paul Ennis Group, which is based on Liverpool Road in Birkdale, has been announced as Finalists in the Best Local Builder or Traditional Craftsperson category in the LABC Regional Building Excellence Awards
Owner Paul Ennis himself has been shortlisted for Professional of the Year.
The Local Authority Building Control Regional Building Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements of independent companies in the construction industry.
They reward excellent buildings, outstanding companies, and partnerships and individuals that go that extra mile.
Sefton Council nominated the Paul Ennis Group for the North West final.
Sefton Council said “It’s not all about looks! We consider other important factors including: challenges faced in meeting or exceeding the building regulations.
“The Grand Finals are normally held in London, but it’s been a strange and unsettling year and we’re gutted that we haven’t been able to hold the LABC Building Excellence Awards Regional and Grand Finals events in the offline world in 2020.
“However, we’re very pleased to be able to announce the winners and highly commended from the Northern region awards, nonetheless.”
Lorna Stimpson from LABC said: “I firmly believe that one of the best ways to see more good work is to praise building excellence and publicly acknowledge companies, designers, site managers and trades people who go the extra mile because of the pride they have in their work”.
Paul Ennis said: “I am absolutely delighted in this strange year to have been nominated, represent Sefton MBC and to be announced as a finalist.
“I would like to say thank you and well done to the whole team.”
