The Paediatric Department at Ormskirk Hospital have been hailed for their unwavering commitment by Stand Up For Southport readers.
The team won the Stand Up For Southport People’s Choice Award at the Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust staff awards at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena.
The award, which sees readers nominate their NHS heroes, was presented by Andrew Brown from Stand Up For Southport founder Andrew Brown, BBC TV presenter Kate McIntyre and local DJ and podcaster producer Alex Toal.
Praised by patients, families and carers for looking after children with complex conditions and needs, readers said the team go above and beyond to provide the highest standards of clinical and holistic care to their young patients in some of the most difficult and challenging situations.
Sponsored by local and national businesses, and at no cost to the NHS, the annual MWL Staff Awards are a chance to recognise the enormous difference our NHS heroes have made to the lives of their many patients and the local community over the last year, and the hard work and commitment they continue to show each and every day.
Ward 10A, and Catering Assistant, Raz Ngomane on Ward 14A, Southport Hospital,
were applauded as Finalists and praised by readers for their support for local patients.
