Ocean Plaza Leisure in Southport is getting a brand new look!

Smart new signage is due to be installed on the side of the site facing Southport Beach, as part of a number of positive new changes taking place there.

Earlier this month saw the brand new Coastline Crossfit opening its doors, hosting other local; businesses including the Wareing Brothers Cafe.

Building work is currently taking place on creating Southport’s first Starbucks drive-through cafe at Ocean Plaza Leisure, which will see the creation of 20 new jobs when it opens this autumn.

Plans have also been given full steam ahead for work to start on a new Victorian-style train station terminal for the Southport Pleasureland Miniature Railway, with a fish & chip café and an ice cream parlour, creating 10 new jobs.

The new look signwork at Ocean Plaza Leisure will be designed and installed by My Signworks NW Ltd, based at Formby Business Park.

It would be 1.4 metres high and 12.5 metres wide, and 7 metres from the ground.

The colour of text and background would be pink and blue and background returns white

The new additions will add to the vibrant leisure and hospitality offering already at Ocean Plaza Leisure, which includes Vue Cinema – currently screening movies including Barbie and Oppenheimer – plus Tenpin bowling, Playtown children’s centre, Roberto’s Italian restaurant, Everlast Gym, Nando’s restaurant, Subway sandwich shop and Evans Cycles.
