A new tapas street food venture is coming to Southport Market!

Pincho’s will be brought to the venue by Allotment, which already operates a unit in the building providing juicy American style burgers and loaded fries.

Allotment already operates a popular venue in Birkdale Village in Southport, which opened just before the start of the Open Golf Championship at nearby Royal Birkdale in 2017.

They also own Allotment in the Northern Quarter in Manchester.

The business is owned by friends Gavin Williams and James Kennedy.

They said: “Coming soon to Southport Market Unit 5 will soon be an explosion of some amazing tapas street food. Watch this space!”

They join a number of local businesses inside the Market, including: Pitamu (Greek street food); Birkdale Pie Co; Poutine (Canadian food); Hector’s Mexicana; and others.

Allotment opened on a unit fronting the King Street end of Southport Market in the summer, after the landmark site’s £1.4million transformation into a new food, drink and events venue.

The redevelopment has since sparked a rejuvenation in Southport Market Quarter of the town centre, attracting new businesses including: Season, Coffee, Bar and Kitchen; Urban Attic; The Cake Box; and Eva’s Sewing Room.

James Kennedy said earlier this year: “The market is fitted to a fantastic standard and I am sure the residents of Southport are going to love it!

“It is great to be opening with some of the best local traders from around Southport and to be a part of this great new attraction.”
