A brand new luxury watch shop is due to open in Southport town centre.
David K Luxury Watches is due to occupy the former Nicholas Thomson shop at 493 – 495 Lord Street.
The business has submitted a planning application to Sefton Council seeking consent for a new sign and a hanging sign outside the shop.
David K Luxury Watches is eager to convert the former shoe shop into a luxury watch shop, carrying out internal conversion works and replacement of the existing shop front frame and double doors.
The new venture is next door to Pavers shoe shop, which enjoyed a substantial investment for its refurbishment earlier this year.

It is another boost for Lord Street, which is seeing substantial investment this year.
Further work is due to take place at The Grand to create a new rooftop bar, while building work is also taking place at The Garrick at the other end of Lord Street.
A new climbing centre and cafe is due to open later this year, while proposals have been put forward to create a new 28-bed Wetherspoon Hotel.
Other new businesses to have opened on Lord Street recently include United Legal Assistance; The Grand; Occulo Lounge; Maverick’s; and The Auld Dubliner.
Work is also taking place nearby, on the Promenade, to create the new £73 million Marine Lake Events Centre and the adjacent water and light show on the Marine Lake.
