The new Candy cane Club is bringing Christmas to Southport this December.
The fun new venue has been created at the new Catherine’s Bar & Events venue, next door to Connolly’s Irish pub (formerly The Coronation) on King Street, opposite Southport Market.
It will offer perfect festive party nights every Friday and Saturday night in December, starting this Friday (5th December 2025).

This premium red-and-gold Christmas pop-up experience takes over every weekend leading up to Christmas Day.

Catherine’s owner Julie Goodwin said:
“I felt what Southport was really missing was a proper Christmas bar!
“I have been speaking with lots of people who said they would love to go out this December in a bar that was fun, and was all about Christmas!
“We have had such a fabulous response since we announced the news. People love the idea!
“We quickly came together with our partners, including Enhance Events, JJ The Elf and others, and we came up with The Candy Cane Club!
“We wanted to create a Christmas experience where everyone feels special.
“Catherine’s Bar has now been transformed from top to bottom, it looks stunning!
“Every single ticket holder gets the full Candy Cane Club treatment. It’s fun, festive, and full of surprises.”
Everyone will be treated like the star of the show.
There will be welcome drinks included for every guest, a welcome Christmas cocktail and a festive shot included in every ticket, setting the tone from the moment guests arrive.
There will be a full venue transformation too.
