Molloys Furnishers in Southport is expanding, as it opens a brand new recline showroom.
One of the North West’s longest-established businesses, the family-owned firm recently moved into its fourth generation of ownership with a determination to keep evolving and offering even more to its customers.
It has been an acclaimed furniture supplier since 1932.
Molloys Furnishers has built up a huge customer following through its furniture showroom at 6 St James Street, with free parking outside and free local delivery available.
Next door, they operate Recline by Molloys which offers a wealth of chairs, sofas, beds and other products which supports customers who like the added luxury of adjustable furniture.
The venue has grown in popularity in recent years to the extent that Molloys Furnishers has now expanded into the adjacent unit, on the corner of Eastbank Street and Scarisbrick New Road, near the roundabout.
Chris, Pete and Stu Molloy said: “We offer a range of our ever-popular riser recliners, reclining sofas, reclining chairs, which are all available in different sizes.
“We also have lots of different motor options.
“Our starting price is just £499 and then they vary depending on different options with various fabrics and leather coverings available.
“We are very excited to be launching our brand new showroom, expanding in the Southport area.
“This is such a brilliant location to be based. We are right on the edge of Southport town centre and next to the busy Eastbank Street / Scarisbrick New Road, with free car parking right outside.
“We also offer free delivery in the Southport area so call in and have a look around, come and have a chat with us and we can answer any questions.
“Our Recline by Molloys furniture is also available through our website.
“This furniture has really grown in popularity in recent years. Customers love that added luxury of being able to adjust their sofas, chairs or beds to the settings that are right for them.
“For others, the ability to get in and out of bed or their favourite chair much easier is a Godsend.
“We have an extensive range to choose from and want to be able to show off more of what we offer.
“The unit on the corner has been empty for some time and we have been eager to expand. We are delighted that our discussions with the lawyers have now progressed to a successful conclusion and we’d like to invite people to come in and see what they think.

Molloys also runs a furniture store in Lytham, allowing them to cover more of the North West.
Earlier this year, they worked hard to modernise their Southport store front, with customers enjoying its fresh new look.
Molloys Furnishers is now owned by Chris and Pete Molloy, supported by their brother Stu.
They took over in October last year from their Dad, Tony, and their Uncle, Stephen, who had been running the firm for the past half century.
There are two stores side by side in Southport; Molloys Furnishers and Recline by Molloys, where you can sit back and try some of the comfiest chairs around.
They have a huge base of loyal customers who, like them, often go back through the generations.
As well as improving families’ homes, they also work with care homes, businesses and schools in the region, and are happy to speak with people about their furnishing needs.
