The Southport Comedy Festival in association with Halliwell Jones BMW have announced yet another big name for this year’s 17 day event at Victoria Park.
King of the one-liner Gary Delaney will be bringing his critically acclaimed show Gary in Punderland to the Southport Comedy Festival on Saturday 30th September 2023.
This will be one of the final chances to see this hugely popular show live which has been selling out across theatres nationwide with the tour coming to a close in November.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday 27th April 2023 at 10am.
Double Sony Award Winner Gary is one of the most sought after joke writers in the country.
He was a longstanding Mock the Week special guest and is also known for his appearances on Live at the Apollo. However, it is through his live shows where he excels.
Gary Delaney loves each and every gag and you can’t help but be carried away by his infectious charm. He’s like a cheeky schoolboy who can barely hide his glee with each and every punch line.
Gary’s the only comic ever to have got two gags in the same top 10 for Dave’s TV Funniest Jokes from the Edinburgh Fringe.
He is the premier gagsmith of his generation and through twitter he’s become one of the most followed and quoted comedians in the country.

Irish funnymen and festival favourites Jason Byrne and Jimeoin, world-famous prankster and Lee Nelson creator Simon Brodkin, star of I’m a Celebrity Seann Walsh and Phoenix Nights Clinton Baptiste are already on sale with more exciting names to be announced in the next few days and weeks.
