The Masons Arms pub in Southport has lots to offer people during Southport Beer Week.

It includes a Titanic Brewery Tap Takeover; live music for the first time; and fundraising for the Bebe’s Hive charity.

The Masons Arms is a hidden gem of a pub, set on Anchor Street, just off London Street in Southport town centre.

Run by landlord Owen Fowler, it offers a superb selection of real ales and other drinks in friendly, cosy surroundings.

During Southport Beer Week (Thursday, 22nd May 2025 to Sunday, 25th May 2025), organised by Southport BID, customers will be able to explore a fantastic choice of Titanic Brewery beers including:

  • Titanic Iceberg
  • Titanic Premium 40 Year Anniversary Best Bitter
  • Titanic White Star Golden Ale
  • Titanic Chocolate Vanilla Stout
  • Titanic Raspberry Pale
  • Titanic Plum Porter

They are best served without ice…

Owen Fowler said: “We are getting on the hype train for the biggest beer related event Southport has had in a very long time!

“We have a superb line-up of beers for our Titanic Tap takeover, including a 40 year anniversary best bitter.

“Music will be on Saturday ((24th May 2025) from 4pm to 8pm, with two very talented guitarists playing an eclectic mix from all eras.

“We haven’t had live music here before, so we’re looking forward to it.

“After the Titanic beers go we will have two charity beers on, I’ll donate 50p from each pint bought to the Bebe’s Hive charity: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/bebeshiveuk.

“Going for a pint is great and it’s even better if it’s for a good cause!

“Hopefully I’ll see you all. And don’t forget to collect  your Ale Trail pamphlets, getting prizes for drinking beer is pretty great too.

“Cheers!”

Owen is looking forward to four fantastic days.

He said: “Southport Beer Week is something that myself and Julian Burgess from the Tap and Bottles always used to speak about over a pint, saying it’s something we’d love to see one day.

“Now it’s here and we’re really excited, with so much on offer for everyone to enjoy.

“It’s brilliant for Southport and brilliant for the hospitality industry.

“It is not just about increasing trade, it is also about showcasing what we have here in Southport and showing how proud we all are with what we do.”
