KGV Sixth Form College in Southport has launched its first-ever ‘Dr. Natalie Kenny Lecture Series’ in celebration of International Women’s Day.

A KGV spokesperson said: “We welcomed three incredible women who have made a real impact in their industries to speak to our students about gender equality, inclusivity, authenticity, and careers.

Emma Stewart (EDI Officer at Sefton Council & KGV alum) kicked things off with a powerful talk on representation and supporting women in the workplace, followed by a Q&A with our students.

Dr. Natalie Kenny (CEO of BioGrad & KGV alum) delivered an eye-opening lecture on gender inequality in healthcare, investment in women-led businesses, and the amazing career opportunities available through our partnership with BioGrad Education.

Sarah Jackson (CEO of Hatter’s Digital Agency) wrapped up the series with an inspiring talk on staying authentic in a competitive world, attracting the right opportunities, and tackling gender biases in the marketing industry.

“Every lecture was insightful, empowering, and thought-provoking!

“A huge THANK YOU to Emma, Dr. Natalie, and Sarah for sharing their knowledge, experiences, and advice with our students.

“As a college, we’re excited to make this an annual event for International Women’s Day as a commitment to student development and enrichment.”
