This autumn, Sefton businesses are invited to unlock new opportunities with a series of free workshops and networking events delivered by InvestSefton.

From growth strategies and sector-specific networking to cultural programme insights and the Sefton Economic Forum, there is something for every business owner, entrepreneur and socially trading organisation.

The events begin on Wednesday 22nd October 2025 with Unlocking Growth, a practical session exploring ways for businesses to scale and thrive with a focus on recruitment and workforce skills, running from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Sefton Community Learning Service.

On Thursday 23rd October 2025, the Financial & Professional Networking Group returns to The Lake House on Cambridge Road, Waterloo, from 8:15am to 10am. This informal breakfast event will feature Andy Peters from The 23 Group Ltd sharing his business journey, and Simon Montague from Liverpool John Moores University outlining current support for businesses in the financial and professional sector.

On Wednesday 12th November 2025, Sefton Huddle brings together digital, creative and tech businesses for an informal networking evening at Eastbank (Enterprise Arcade) from 5pm to 7pm. Highlights include a presentation from Fureai on Connected Reality and an update from the University of Liverpool VEC on the new Podcast Studio, plus a tour of the new flexible working space at Eastbank.

Finally, the Sefton Economic Forum returns on Thursday 27th November 2025, bringing together businesses from across the borough for economic insights, networking and access to over 30 business support providers. The event will take place at The Lake House on Cambridge Road, Waterloo.

Cllr Paulette Lappin, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Economy and Skills, said:
“These events are about giving Sefton’s businesses the knowledge, tools and networks they need to succeed. Whether it’s learning how to grow, connecting with peers or exploring cultural opportunities, InvestSefton is here to support local businesses every step of the way. I’d encourage anyone running a business in Sefton to come along and get involved.”

All events are free, but places are limited. To book your place, email investsefton@sefton.gov.uk or call 0151 934 3452. Find out more about these events at www.investsefton.com.
