One of Southport’s most recognisable fish & chip restaurants, Harper’s on Eastbank Street, has officially reopened and it’s bringing back a well-loved local name along with an exciting new menu and a fresh, modern feel.

Harper’s has been part of Southport’s food scene for decades, known for its traditional seaside fish & chips and friendly, family atmosphere. After a period of closure the restaurant has now reopened its doors following new investment, upgrades to the kitchen, and the introduction of brand-new menu options designed for modern tastes.

The restaurant also offers an expanded Gluten Free menu, with dedicated fryers and a wide selection of GF dishes from cod and plaice to chips, chicken nuggets, sausages and more.

A major highlight of the relaunch is the introduction of Harper’s new Rotisserie Chicken, cooked slowly for maximum flavour and tenderness. Options include whole, half, or quarter chicken, as well as full rotisserie dinners with sides such as chips, peas, or gravy. The rotisserie line is also Halal-friendly, making Harper’s an inclusive choice for families across Southport.

Families, seniors, and dine-in customers are all catered for, with:

    •    Kids Meal Boxes

    •    Seniors Specials

    •    Fully licensed drinks menu including beer, Prosecco and wine

    •    Over 50 indoor seats, just minutes from Southport Train Station

Takeaway customers can order directly, or via Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats, making Harper’s accessible for busy evenings and office lunches.

The team at Harper’s said:

“We are incredibly proud to reopen Harper’s and bring this iconic Southport name back to life. Our goal has always been simple we want to serve good food, good value, and something for everyone. We’ve introduced new options like rotisserie chicken while keeping the traditional fish & chips that people love. It’s been wonderful to welcome customers back through the doors.”

The restaurant also has a full wall of historical images of Southport’s pier, beach and fairground, giving visitors something to enjoy and reminisce over while they wait for their order.
