Ainsdale Cricket Club is looking forward to hosting three superb acts this summer with ‘Summer Event In The Tent’ this June.
Top comedians Gary Delaney and Frankie Allen are set to star, in addition to acclaimed Abba tribute group Abbarella, between Friday 7th June 2024 and Sunday 9th June 2024.
Money raised will be re-invested in supporting this established community sports club.
Ainsdale Cricket Club Vice Chair Mal Swift said: “We are looking forward to hosting three superb acts for people to enjoy this summer!
“The prices are really great value for the names we have, as we wanted to make this event as affordable as possible for people.
“Summer Event In the Tent isn’t just for Ainsdale Cricket Club members, it’s also for the whole community, for anyone who wants to come along and have a great time. This is a great celebration of Ainsdale itself.
“We are very much a community club and want to invite more people in to come and enjoy the excellent facilities we have here.
“We’ve recently carried out a £30,000 refurbishment, with new furniture, a new floor, repainting and more. It’s looking really good.
“We’ve invested £45,000 in new cricket nets thanks to support from the ECB.
“We have three superb acts coming this June in a friendly, relaxed setting, that people are going to enjoy.”
Kicking off the jam-packed weekend on Friday, June 7th, audiences can expect an evening filled with side-splitting humour as comedian Frankie Allen takes centre stage. Loved. Feared. Revered.

Known for his quick wit and unique brand of comedy, Allen guarantees an unforgettable night of laughter for all in attendance.
The hilarity continues on Saturday, June 8th, with the comedic genius of Gary Delaney. Punmeister General and regular on TV’s Mock the Week, Gary is a Double Sony Award winner and also the only comedian to have 2 jokes in the top 10 in the same years Edinburgh Fringe. A Comedy Store legend who frequently tours the UK’s premier theatres.
Renowned for his razor-sharp one-liners and impeccable timing, Delaney’s performance promises to leave audiences in stitches and wanting more.
Rounding off the weekend on Sunday, June 9th, is a special musical treat with a performance by the sensational ABBA tribute band, Abbarella. Fans of the iconic pop group can look forward to an evening of nostalgic hits and infectious energy as Abbarella brings the magic of ABBA to life on stage.
