A hair salon in Southport is celebrating its first birthday.
Fyhair studio – pronounced fire – opened on Wesley Street, ‘A Village in the Town’, in March last year, joining the collection of other local, independent businesses there.
Fyhair Southport was the second studio to open under the Fyhair brand by Director Char Armitage, the first one being in Chorley.
The Chorley salon has since closed, with customers now being given a warm welcome in Southport.
Fyhair studio Director Char Armitage said: “What a first fantastic year it’s been!
“We started with a tired old building that needed a full rip out and zero clients.
“Fast forward and we have such a wonderful team and are nearly fully booked next week.
“We have stayed true to our brand and culture and have created a safe space at fyhair for both our team and our guests.
“Firstly Thank you to my team for making my dreams and passions their own and becoming Fyhair! Mikayla Williams for being by my side since day one, it’s been a pleasure watching you grow both professionally & personally. Lily Mayor our little home grown tomato who will stop at nothing to achieve greatness.
“This summer is going to be the best!
“Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors and become part of fyhair and our culture, for everyone who has trusted us with your mane and spreads the word, the reviews, the recommendations and the loyalty has truly blown us away!

Fyhair has a no-judgement, ‘come as you are’ policy, where staff create a safe space for both guests and the team.
By creating this environment, the team can thrive both professionally and personally which in turn ensures they can give the best version of themselves to guests.
