Father Christmas, his Santa Sleigh and two special elves will be touring around Churchtown in Southport this Wednesday (8th December) – with volunteers collecting donations to improve the Botanic Gardens.
Southport Hesketh Round Table members bring their famous Santa Sleigh to streets around Southport each year.
This Wednesday they will be joined by members of the Make A Change For Ben campaign, who are raising funds to improve safety and facilities at the Botanic Gardens.
Youngsters from St Cuthbert’s 62nd Scouts will also be supporting them.
David Rawsthorne, who founded the group, said: “This Wednesday 8th December myself and Lindsay will be out with the Southport Hesketh Round Table Santa Sleigh to raise funds for the Botanic Gardens Lake Campaign.
“Me and Lindsay will be in full elf attire
“The float will start on Radnor Drive just after 6.30pm then continue around

“The St Cuthbert’s 62nd Scouts will be out in attendance with us to support our community campaign.
“Any donations will be greatly received, 50% of which will go to us and 50% to the Round Table charities.
“Please come out and take a look, bring the kids and have a fun time.
“We are not too far from our £30,000 target. I want to achieve this milestone before the first anniversary of the start of the campaign in March next year so please donate if you can.
“Either way, come and have fun and enjoy laughing at me and Lindsay dressed in Christmas attire!”
