Families can learn more about Ukrainian culture with a Ukrainian Workshops Day at The Atkinson in Southport 10:30 am – 3:30 pm this Saturday (10th February 2024). 

It is part of the Echoes of Ages exhibition and events which are taking place this February. 

It follows the Ukrainian Day Celebrations which took place last Saturday. 

Ukrainian Workshops Day is a free, drop-in event with donations welcome.

Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Ukrainian culture with a captivating day of workshops. 

All of the practical workshops are first come first served. You may be expected to wait until a space becomes available.

10:30am – 3:30pm
Petrykivka Painting: A Ukrainian Folk Art Workshop
Museum Landing
Learn the secrets of this intricate decorative style, characterised by swirling floral motifs and vibrant colours. Create your own stunning masterpiece to take home.

1:30pm – 3:30pm
Ukrainian Namisto Beading Workshop
Museum Landing
No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to explore and create! Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or simply curious about Ukrainian culture, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to unleash your creativity and express yourself through a unique art form.
