Queenscourt Hospice is inviting supporters to contribute to the Dr Karen Groves Legacy Development Fund, to enable the charity to provide compassionate care for future generations.

For over 30 years, Queenscourt Hospice  has been providing exceptional palliative care for people across Southport, West Lancashire and Formby, when they need them the most.

When Queenscourt began over 30 years ago, there were no real palliative care services in this area, and the charity still needs to try to fill the gaps that exist for those who need them.

Queenscourt strives to do this in the best way possible, with the resources that it has available.

Dr Karen Groves MBE said:

“I hope that you will consider supporting the fund to which I am delighted to give my name, so that with your support Queenscourt Hospice can continue to care for future generations in whatever way is needed, and in whatever circumstances exist, at that time, for each individual person and for the communities who care for them.

“Queenscourt’s compassionate care extends well beyond our walls, and we care for nearly 2,000 patients each year, many of whom are in their own homes, care homes and local hospitals.

“Our aim is always to keep people in the homes in which they live, for as much of their lives as possible.”

Perhaps you would like to use the opportunity to say thank you for care or education or professional support, perhaps you want to use it to remember or to celebrate, perhaps you want to ‘give as you earn’ with a small but regular donation, perhaps you just want to be grateful for life, health, wellbeing, good fortune.

You can contribute to the Dr Karen Groves Legacy Development Fund by:

  • Becoming a regular giver
  • Making a one-off donation
  • Leaving a legacy in your will
