Wag & Walk is Back This September – Join Queenscourt Hospice for a Paw-some Challenge!
September is just around the corner, and that means it’s almost time for Queenscourt Hospice’s much-loved Wag & Walk!
From 1st–30th September, pet lovers across our community are invited to set themselves a personal walking challenge alongside their faithful companions. It doesn’t matter whether you take gentle strolls around the block, explore woodlands, or clock up the miles along the coast , every step you take will make a difference for local hospice care.
Each pet who takes part will receive their very own Queenscourt-branded bandana, so you’ll be sure to spot them out and about, proudly supporting a cause that touches so many lives. They’ll be some of the coolest pets around, helping to spread awareness of Queenscourt with every wag and walk.
For Queenscourt’s Community and Challenge Events Fundraiser, Hayley Jones, this year’s event is especially close to her heart. She shared:
“Wag and Walk is one of my favourite events in the Queenscourt calendar. It’s made even more special for me this year as my lovely Dotty the Rotty, who has appeared on all the banners around the town, has just recovered from an operation and hasn’t been able to go on proper walks for over 10 weeks. We are going to use Wag and Walk as a way of getting her back into the swing of lovely long walks. It’s the perfect time of year as the evenings get a little darker and we get to enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Marine Lake.”
There’s no minimum fundraising target. Queenscourt simply encourages supporters to raise what they can. Every pound goes towards helping the hospice provide compassionate care for patients and their families when they need it most.
So, this September, why not make your walks extra meaningful? Pop a bandana on your pet, soak up the fresh air, enjoy those late summer sunsets, and know that with every step, you’re helping Queenscourt continue its vital work.
