Pasta at Trattoria 51

A Southport trattoria is ready to provide restaurant quality, authentic Italian food that people can enjoy at home.

Trattoria 51 is opening its online food pick-up service this Thursday (June 11).

After three months in lockdown, owners Attilio Sergi and Toni Karemanaj and their staff have been working hard to ensure everything is ready for the launch. They are adhering to the highest standards of Covid-19 safety regulations and food hygiene.

Over the past few years Trattoria 51, which is based on the Promenade, has built an excellent reputation among local diners. Attilio and Toni have worked hard to ensure that their new food pick-up service produces the same quality dishes as people would expect in their restaurant.

Customers ordering online at www.trattoria51.com will be able to choose from a selection of freshly made pizza and pasta dishes, side dishes and artisan gelato, together with some of their “legendary” classic options. The service is available in Southport, Thursdays through to Saturdays 5pm- 9pm and Sundays 1pm-8pm.

Attilio said: “It has been a difficult period for all of us and we appreciate the fantastic support we have had from our staff and customers.

“So, when we believed it was safe to do, so we made preparations to launch our new service.

“It will allow our customers to enjoy their favourite dishes from our menu, freshly prepared by our chefs, in the comfort of their own homes.”

There is one reason why Trattoria 51 decided not to set up a delivery service sooner – safety.

The owners, Attilio and Toni, say they were not prepared to start a pick-up service until they were confident it was safe to do so. They have taken all conceivable precautionary measures and acted upon Government guidance and advice.

This included the professional deep cleaning of all areas of their restaurant, the retraining of staff in all the latest health and safety guidelines and the adoption of new preparation and cooking processes.

They said: “The safety of our customers and staff have always been our primary considerations.

“We wish to thank our customers for their support and patience, but thankfully the wait is over and customer messages are already arriving.

“Our new service brings low risk, no hassle and great tasting food cooked by our chefs for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.”
