Mike Prendergast, Partner at Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors in Ormskirk, has presented a cheque for £1,000 to Derian House Children’s Hospice, based in Chorley.

Derian House Children’s Hospice provides free care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and allows families to make happy memories in an environment of fun, respect and outstanding care.

Care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for those who need it and the help and support extends right across the family to brothers, sisters, parents and grandparents.

Mike Prendergast said: “Many people across West Lancashire and the wider region will be aware of the wonderful work that Derian House carries out to support children and their families.

“We are delighted to be able to provide this donation from one of those trusts that we administer and have no doubt that the funds will be put to good use to continue to help so many people locally.”

Caroline Taylor, Director of Income and Engagement at Derian House said: “We want to thank Mike and his team at Dickinson Parker Hill for this generous donation that will help us to continue to provide our vital services to so many children and their families across the area.”
