The Mikhail Hotels and Leisure Group (MHALG) has today announced further expansion plans for David Davies Sales and Lettings Agent, with a new office in Southport town centre.
A highly respected, independent North-West Estate Agent, David Davies Sales and Lettings Agent in 2021 enjoyed its 40-year celebration as one of the North West’s highly respected, independent estate agents.
It is exciting times for this long-established company, which announced growth plans last year and subsequently opened two new offices.
The firm is now proud to announce the opening of a further office in Southport’s fast growing Market Quarter.
Mikhail Hotels and Leisure Group (MHALG) is a major player throughout various aspects of hospitality, leisure, and property in the North West, namely, Manchester, Southport, St Helens, and Liverpool, with a string of bars, hotels, restaurants and most recently one of Europe’s biggest gaming arcades to its name.
The company acquired the David Davies company in October 2020. This led to a quick succession of growth for the firm.
David Davies Sales & Lettings Agent was founded by the late David Davies (MNAEA) in 1981. In 2020 Mikhail Hotels and Leisure Group joined this highly respected brand alongside David’s wife, Paula Davies (MNAEA), who agreed to remain in place as Chairperson of the company following the acquisition.
Andrew Mikhail, chairman of Mikhail Hotels and Leisure Group, said at the time of the acquisition: “I am incredibly excited to have bought such a prestigious business and keeping Paula involved in the business was crucial to me. Paula was David’s rock both within and outside of the business for the last 21 years until his untimely death in 2019.

“When we were completing our due diligence, what impressed me most was the professionalism and work ethic of the sales department which offers excellent standards of customer service, along with their highly skilled negotiators to ensure the best price is achieved for clients. In addition, the sheer volume of lettings that they successfully manage across the region, together with how efficiently this is run for the landlords.”

The new office will be situated in the heart of Southport on Market Street, close to the newly opened Southport Market.
David Davies Sales & Lettings Agent has held long-standing connections with the area since founder, the late David Davies, acted as North West Regional Manager for the Birmingham Midshires Group in the early 1990s.
Close friend of Andrew Mikhail and local resident, Adam Cotham, has worked in sales for 30 years and was introduced to the company by both Andrew Mikhail and Paula Davies, as the perfect choice to be the Managing Director and local property valuer for Southport and the surrounding areas.
Adam says of the growth plans: “Living in Southport myself, along with several other members of the team, we are incredibly excited about the expansion and keen to introduce our services to the area.

The new office will officially open this Tuesday on the very poignant date of 1st March 2022 – St David’s Day – and will serve Southport and all its surrounding areas including Ainsdale, Formby, Burscough, Ormskirk and Aughton.
