Daisy Desire, The Drag Queen Gardener, is making a much-awaited return to the 2023 Southport Flower Show!

Daisy was such a hit last year with visitors that she will return this year on Friday 18th August.

Tom Leonard is a horticulturist from Warwickshire, who has a passion for gardening… and drag.
It all started after a break up in 2019 when he decided to get an allotment. His love of gardening blossomed into a career, from training with the RHS to becoming a professional working gardener.

A Southport Flower Show spokesperson said: “The gardening world was calling out for something fresh and Daisy Desire is now a well-known face within mainstream society for adding some sequins to the horticultural scene.

“Her joyful personality and a refusal to take life so seriously has proved a tonic to audiences of all ages as she sets out with the aim to promote the mental wellbeing benefits of horticulture whilst giving people the motivation to be who they want to be and simply do what makes you happy.

“The Drag Queen Gardener has been breaking both barriers and ground, and is fast becoming the next rising star in the gardening world!

“We can’t wait to welcome Daisy back to entertain the crowds.

“Buy your tickets before the end of March and save money.

“The tickets are flexible and can be used on any one of the show days.

“Children under 16 go free.”

Plans for this year’s show are well underway and the combination of garden and floral displays, celebrity guests, cookery demonstrations, shopping village, arena entertainment, live music and much more makes Southport Flower Show a great day outdoors for the whole family this summer.

Southport Flower Show is a registered charity (charity number 1000698) and the largest independent flower show in the country attracting over 55,000 visitors across four days.

Children under 16 go free.

Southport Flower Show, Thursday 17th – Sunday 20th August 2023.
