Customers are buzzing about a new café bar that has opened in Hesketh Bank.
The Hive has opened at 21 Station Road, opposite Booths supermarket, in the site previously occupied by the former Top Shop newsagents.
The Hive is owned by local couple Mark Johnson and Jill Holbrook and is already enjoying rave reviews.
They said: “We are absolutely buzzing to introduce The Hive, a brand new independent café bar.
“Our aim is to bring the community together with coffee, cask ale, live music and general good vibes.
“We will be sourcing some fantastic products from local suppliers and breweries for you to enjoy.

“A huge big thank you to everyone who has come through our door and supported our new venture.
“We are absolutely blown away by all the fantastic feedback we have received.
“Creating The Hive has been months of hard work and dedication and to see everyone enjoying themselves and listening to the laughter and banter, has made it all worthwhile. There certainly was a buzz around the place.”
The new venue is also welcoming four-legged guests too.
Mark and Jill said: “People are asking whether we are a dog friendly bar!
“As we have three dogs ourselves the answer is yes. But we ask that weather permitting that you sit outside with them in our beautiful outdoor area, or if not you don’t bring them inside when the bar is too busy, as we have limited space.”

Customers are delighted at the new addition to the village.

“Now on to living the dream for you both.”
