Stand Up For Southport Blog by Andrew Brown
I loved our visit to the new look Clouds restaurant at Southport College on Wednesday along with Joanne Delaney-McGuffie from Stand Up For Southport.
The venue is Southport’s best kept secret, and it’s time to let more people know!
The College has just invested in creating a new look for the venue, including new tables and chairs.
The aptly named Clouds is on the fourth floor so diners enjoy beautiful views every Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtime.
This elevated dining experience combines creativity with top-tier hospitality training.
This is a time of tremendous opportunity for anyone thinking of hospitality as a career, with businesses like the Mikhail Hotel & Leisure Group investing so heavily in stunning venues such as The Grand Southport, The Bold and more and with exciting new developments coming such as the new Marine Lake Events Centre and Cove Resort.
There are fabulous hospitality careers available in Southport across a variety of offerings.
Learning the right skills and experience at Southport College could start you on that journey.
Clouds restaurant is where students gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional setting.
The food was beautiful. I enjoyed smoked salmon with chive cream cheese and then roast salmon with sundried tomato sauce, amidst great company from the college.
The menu changes regularly, depending on what culinary skills the students are developing.
The service was really good with the waiting-on team attentive and efficient.
The lunches offer great value. There were couples in, friends, colleagues, and they often host groups too.
Look out for the themed lunches too, which are always intriguing.
Keep an eye on the Southport College and Clouds social media pages and website for those.
