These kind-hearted Churchtown Queenscourt Hospice Knitters have raised over £7,000 for the charity over the past five years!
Meet the fabulous four: Sandra Rimmer, Doreen Harris, Sue Linaker, and Carole Hurst – who work tirelessly to support our local hospice.
A Queenscourt Hospice spokesperson said: “Our very own busy bees have raised an incredible £7,000 for Queenscourt Hospice.
“These talented ladies plan months ahead for Easter and Christmas, knitting day and night to create stunning bespoke gifts. Not only are these handmade creations beautiful, but they also come with a sweet surprise inside – a chocolate treat!
“A huge thank you to all of you, especially Sandra, who keeps everything running smoothly. You’re amazing!
“We’re always in need of wool donations to keep their needles clicking, so if you’ve got any spare, please drop it off at the Queenscourt Hospice shop in Churchtown. Every little bit helps!”
Queenscourt Hospice is a local charity that provides support for the people of West Lancashire, Southport and Formby.
Queenscourt provides access to Specialist Palliative Care either at home, including care homes, hospital or in Queenscourt via the Inpatient Unit or as an Outpatient.
Queenscourt at Home supports patients, and those important to them, to be cared for in their own home, if that is their preference.
