Families will be able to enjoy a packed day of free festive entertainment with live music, choirs, brass bands, princesses, dog studio and show, artisan stalls, Santa’s grotto, and lots of opportunities for Christmas shopping.

Thousands of people enjoyed last year’s Churchtown Christmas Fayre and this weekend’s event, on and around the picturesque Botanic Road, will once again be popular.

It’s part of a bumper Christmas weekend in the town which also sees the Festive Fun Day taking place in Southport town centre on Saturday (23rd November 2024).

At the Churchtown Christmas Fayre, the line-up of entertainment includes:

12pm – Babyballet

12.30pm – Southport Wellbeing Choir

1pm – DBA School Of Dance

1.30pm – Yooks Ukuleles

2pm – Wright’s Performing Arts

2.30pm – Sea Cadets

3pm – Roundelay Choir

The event is being organised by local traders in the Village with the entertainment hosted by Dune Radio.

Families can enjoy the Botanic Road Elf Hunt, only £1 per entry, with great prizes to be won.

Pick up your activity sheet from a village business and drop them in at Remedy, Angels or Churchtown Deli.

Children can meet three princesses between midday and 3pm, with Belle, plus Elsa and Anna from Frozen.

Susannah Porter, owner of Remedy in Churchtown, said: “We have an amazing line-up of entertainment planned for Churchtown Christmas Fayre this year.

“We’re so pleased that all these wonderful, local groups want to be part of our village’s special day.

“We’d like to invite everyone to call in, join in and watch your favourite group or come and stay for the day to enjoy them all, the choice is yours and we’ll see you there.

“There is lots going on in Churchtown this Sunday with some fabulous choirs, brass bands, singers, stalls and more.

“Churchtown is packed full of local independent shops, cafes and bars which will be open throughout Sunday.

“The Christmas market is going to be really big this year with over 40 stalls and lots of ideas to start your Christmas shopping.

“There will be lots of food and drink available for people to enjoy too!”
