Feeling festive? Come and enjoy a Christmas themed Comedy Bingo event in Southport!
The final Comedy Bingo Winter Social takes place at Southport Market this Wednesday (13th December 2023).
Organised by Big Comedy UK and sponsored by the Halliwell Jones MINI Big Love campaign, these events aim to bring people together and enable them to have a fun afternoon out.
Tickets are just £3 each and include a free drink and all the bingo books you’ll need, with tickets available via Skiddle or the Big Comedy website www.bigcomedyuk.com
You can also turn up and pay on the door.
The gatherings at Southport Market, on King Street in Southport town centre, open at 1pm, with the shows starting at 1.30pm and finishing at 3.30pm.
The events have been created and are hosted by Big Comedy UK and Southport Comedy Festival Director Brendan Riley as a way of bringing people together and tackling isolation during these winter months.
He said: “Come down and get into the spirit of Christmas with our final Comedy Bingo Winter Social of the year! It’s going to be a fantastic afternoon!
“We’ll be playing all the favourite Christmas songs to get everyone into the mood. People are welcome to sing along!

“People will be wearing Christmas hats, Christmas jumpers, you’re welcome to be as festive as you like.
“We will have some great prizes that people can win too.
“Southport Market is looking very festive at the moment with all the superb decorations, and all the market traders will be open for anyone who wants to stay for food or drink before, during or after the event.
“Our last Comedy Bingo Winter Socials have been really well attended, the atmosphere has been superb.
“We recently had a prize winner who was 100 years old!
“These events are perfect for people of all ages, from 3 to 103. We’re very welcoming to everyone.
The third Comedy Bingo Spring Social at Southport Market was a huge success, with another great turnout and lots of prizes being won! The event was sponsored by Halliwell Jones MINI Southport
“We love to see our senior citizens being able to get out and about and enjoy some company; we enjoy seeing young children running around; it’s great seeing young mums or groups of friends coming together for a fun afternoon out.
“We know that winter can be a tough and lonely time for people with the weather getting colder and the nights getting darker. It’s a time for fun and friendship, for people to come together.
