Are you looking for a festive themed pizza made from chocolate this Christmas?
Or perhaps a chocolate handbag? A chocolate pool table? A chocolate handbag? Mince pie chocolates? Or even a box of fine hand-made individual chocolates?
Chocolate Whirled on Manchester Road in Southport has a huge range of delicious and
Imaginative gifts for the chocolate lovers in your life!
The venue, which has been owned by local couple Laura and Simon Stevens since March 2017, is among hundreds of local independent businesses in Southport inviting people to Shop Local this Christmas!
They have been busy this week, completing an order of 508 boxes of chocolates for a corporate Christmas order which are making their way to London, Manchester and Liverpool.
The couple have been busy too welcoming customers into their premises to do their Christmas shopping, and to enjoy a sit down with a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and some of the tasty chocolate treats.
Owners Laura and Simon Stevens said: “We have over 20 different chocolates available to choose from in the shop, many of them along a Christmas theme, ensuring they make an extra special Christmas present for friends, family or neighbours.
“Our boxes come in sizes 4, 6, 12, 24 and 48 and are made on-site in our workshop including our very popular mince pie chocolates!
“We create a lot of our novelty chocolate sets along DIY, golf, baking, football, boxing and other themes.
“We have a lot of table favours, stocking fillers along with bigger gifts.
“Our various hot chocolate making sets, which sell all year round, sell especially well leading up to Christmas – especially in this wintery weather!
“These include hot chocolate bombs, stirrers, childrens christmas DIY sets, packs of chocolate spoons and the like and are available in milk, white and dark Belgian chocolate, so something to suit all tastes!
“We are open during normal opening hours until the end of Thursday 22nd December .
“We opened the shop in March 2017, so this is our fifth year here. We’d done it at home under a different name for four years before that.
“We have expanded the cafe over the past two years, so we now have a larger, main cafe room in the back and also a bigger outdoor area, although it’s obviously not much use at the moment!”
Chocolate Whirled is also sponsoring Sidney Road Lights in Southport this Christmas.
Laura and Simon Stevens said: “As a side thing, we are also sponsoring the Sidney Road Lights, which has the big switch-on show this Saturday evening at 6pm. They will then run a number of shows each evening for two
weeks.
“We’ve been running a competition to choose someone to switch the lights on so are looking forward to being involved alongside Steve and Jan Henshall and Sandgrounder Radio which is running the show.
