Children at two Southport schools will be determined to break as many rules as they can this Friday (20th June 2025) – and people are being invited to encourage them!
Pupils at Farnborough Road Infants and Farnborough Road Juniors Schools will be taking part in ‘Break the Rules Day’ where the more they donate to the Elsie’s Story charity, the more rules they can break!
Headteachers Jennifer Sephton and Adrian Antell have set out the 15 rules that can be broken (on this one day only…)
‘Break the Rules Day’ takes place the day before the two headteachers take on a 15,000ft skydive in Lancaster to raise as much money as they can for Elsie’s Story, with people able to donate here:

People from the school will also be taking part in a Colour Run at Southport Rugby Club on Saturday to raise funds for Elsie’s Story.
Jennifer Sephton and Adrian Antell said: “On Friday 20th June, the children can pay to take part in ‘Break the Rules’. The more they donate, the more rules they can break!
“Children should wear school uniform, but they can pay to break the rules that we normally try to keep.
“We want children to choose what to pay. Every pound will count so please just pay as much as you can afford.
“Elsie’s Story is clearly a charity that is close to everyone’s heart.
“Farnborough Road Schools want to help raise money so that the charity can help make some really positive changes in the local community.
“On Friday 20th June and Saturday 21st June, we want to engage the whole community to raise money for the charity that aims to create a positive legacy in memory of Elsie Dot Stancombe.”
