The Bangla Fusion restaurant

The Bangla Fusion restaurant near Southport has closed its doors after 21 years.

The site, on Liverpool Old Road in Much Hoole, is due to be taken over and rebranded by new owners.

Over the past two decades, Bangla Fusion has provided diners with a fusion of Indian and Western cuisine and was known for its opulent style and unrivalled fine dining.

The menu featured a wide variety of dishes, including favourite Indian dishes and some exciting Bangla dishes created especially by the restaurant’s team of chefs.

The restaurant closed its doors for the last time on Saturday (22nd July 2023).

In a statement they said: “It is with mixed emotions that we announce the new takeover and closure of Bangla Fusion.

“After 21 long years of serving this wonderful community, we have made the difficult decision to bring our restaurant journey to an end and handover to younger blood to take the reins by rebranding Bangla Fusion into the future to serve you all with fresh identity.

“There’s no doubt regarding the new team’s vast experience and commitment in the hospitality industry with highly successful restaurants established across the north west.

“First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has walked through our doors in the last 21 years, enjoyed our culinary creations, and supported us throughout the years. Your loyalty and patronage have been invaluable to us, and we are truly humbled by the friendships we have formed along the way.

“While it saddens us to bid farewell, we believe it is important to reflect on the memories and successes we have shared.

“We remember the laughter, the celebrations, and the moments that have made Bangla Fusion a special famous place for all. From romantic dinners to family gatherings, we are honoured to have been a part of your lives, and for that, we thank you.

“We would also like to take this opportunity to express our deepest appreciation to our dedicated staff members who have worked tirelessly to ensure exceptional service and a memorable dining experience. Without their passion, talent, and unwavering commitment, Bangla Fusion would not have been the thriving establishment it became.

“As we move forward, we will cherish the connections we have made and the lessons we have learned. While our restaurant’s physical presence may come to a close, the spirit of Bangla Fusion being the first restaurant of its kind back in 2002 in Much Hoole will live on through the memories we have created together.

“Once again, we express our heartfelt gratitude to all our patrons, past and present, for your unwavering support. It has been an honour and privilege to serve this incredible community. We will always carry the memories of Bangla Fusion in our hearts.

“Thank you for being a part of our journey.

“With sincere appreciation,

“Lal & Tops
