Asda supermarket in Southport is bringing a brand new aisle for Vegans.
After a huge rise in demand in recent years from shoppers for Vegan products, the supermarket giant has confirmed it will be launching a dedicated section in many of its shops.
This includes the Asda store on Central 12 retail park, on Derby Road in Southport.
It will also stock more than 100 new Vegan items across its new non-refrigerated range.
Stores will dedicate two shopping bays solely to Vegan products with one for savoury items including proteins and sausages and the other for sweet foods and snacks.
Included in the range are two new Galaxy chocolate flavours, alongside Asda’s own-label rice and lentil bowls, as well as a number of products from brands such as Mrs Crimble’s, Vego and an exclusive falafel mix from Bosh.
However, while 359 Asda stores will get the new Vegan range, not every single store will get a dedicated aisle, with mainly larger stores such as Southport selected.
